Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This policy explains what the Minor AI app (“Minor”, “the app”) collects, why, how long it is kept and the choices you have. Minor is published on the App Store by Regina Danilova (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for your personal data. Questions: support@minorai.site.
1. Summary
- Your mind maps and chats are stored on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to our servers for storage.
- When you use an AI feature, the content of that request is sent through our server to OpenAI or Anthropic to generate the answer. Minor asks for your permission before the first request, and you can turn this off at any time.
- We need an account (email and password, or Sign in with Apple) to apply plan limits and keep your subscription across devices.
- No ads, no selling of data, no tracking across other apps or websites.
2. What we collect
Account
To use AI features you create an account with your email address and a password, or with Sign in with Apple. With Apple we receive an Apple user identifier and an email address, which can be an Apple private relay address. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider as secure hashes; we never see them in plain text.
Content you send to AI
Topics, links, documents (PDF, TXT, RTF), photos, chat messages, voice transcripts and the parts of your maps that an AI action needs (for example, the path of an idea you expand or the map you ask to change). This content is processed to produce the answer and is not stored on our server after the answer is returned, except in short-lived technical logs used to fix errors.
Voice
Voice input is converted to text by Apple’s speech recognition — on your device when it is supported for your language, otherwise by Apple’s servers under Apple’s privacy policy. Audio is never sent to us; only the resulting text is sent, like typed text.
Links and videos
When you build a map from a web page or a YouTube video, our server downloads that page or the video’s transcript to read it. The site receives a request from our server, not from your device.
Purchases
If you subscribe, we receive the App Store transaction details needed to unlock your plan: product, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, and refund status. Payment details are handled by Apple and never reach us.
Usage
For each month we count the maps, AI actions, chat messages and link reads you use, and the cost of the AI processing they required, to apply your plan’s limits and monthly AI allowance.
Device identifier
We store an app-specific identifier of your device (Apple’s identifierForVendor) with monthly usage counts for the free plan, so free limits can’t be reset by creating new accounts. It is not used for advertising or tracking.
Shared links (PRO)
If you use Share Link, an image of that map is uploaded and anyone with the link can view it until you choose Stop Sharing, delete the map or delete your account.
What we don’t collect
We don’t collect your contacts, location, advertising identifier or browsing history, and the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Notifications such as “your map is ready” are created on your device.
3. How we use it
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (EU/UK) |
|---|---|---|
| Providing AI features (maps, expanding ideas, chat) | Content you send, account | Performance of our contract with you; your consent to AI processing |
| Accounts, sign-in, account deletion | Email, password hash, Apple identifier | Contract |
| Subscriptions and plan limits | Purchase details, usage counts | Contract |
| Preventing abuse of free limits | Device identifier, usage counts | Our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and affordable |
| Fixing errors and keeping the service secure | Short-lived technical logs | Legitimate interest |
| Answering support requests | What you write to us | Legitimate interest; contract |
We do not use your content to train AI models, we do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. AI providers
AI requests are processed by OpenAI (openai.com) or Anthropic (anthropic.com), depending on the model you choose. They receive the content of the request and a random, non-reversible identifier that helps them detect abuse — not your name or email. Under their API terms, content sent through their APIs is not used to train their models; they may keep it for a limited time to detect abuse. Please don’t send sensitive personal information (for example health or financial details) you don’t want processed this way.
Minor asks for your permission before the first AI request. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → AI Data Sharing; AI features then stop working until you allow them again.
5. Other services we use
- Supabase — our backend: accounts and authentication, the database for plans and usage, server functions that forward AI requests, and storage for shared map images.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases and subscription notifications, and speech recognition.
- Email delivery — sign-up and password-reset codes are sent through our email provider.
These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments.
6. Where data is stored
Our backend runs on Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). AI providers and some service providers may process data in the United States. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Maps and chats stay on your device until you delete them, delete your account or delete the app.
- Account, plan and usage records are kept while your account exists. Usage is counted per calendar month.
- Content of AI requests is not stored on our server after the answer, except in technical logs that are deleted automatically within 7 days.
- Shared map images are kept until you stop sharing them, delete the map or delete your account.
- After account deletion we keep, without any link to you: subscription records (to honor App Store renewals and refunds) and monthly usage counts tied to the device identifier (so free limits can’t be reset).
8. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account in the app: Settings → Delete Account. This deletes your account and the usage records tied to it, revokes Sign in with Apple, removes your shared map images and erases the maps and chats on the device. It does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
- Turn off AI data sharing in Settings → AI Data Sharing.
- Sign out in Settings → Log Out.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, EEA, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Write to support@minorai.site; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We don’t “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by California law.
9. Children
Minor is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your sign-in session is stored in the iOS Keychain. AI provider keys are kept only on our server. Access to our backend is limited to what each part needs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.
11. This website
minorai.site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. It remembers your language choice in your browser’s local storage only.
12. Changes and contact
We will post changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. For significant changes we will also tell you in the app.
